Why did you start with Amduscia in the beginning?
My brother (Edgar) invited me to sing in Amduscia when he was starting to
make electro music,so of course I took the offer and the story began.
The sound of Amduscia is pretty unique, what makes it so unique do you think?
I think maybe it is because we are Mexicans and we feel the music differently,
maybe the reason could be because our customs, culture, and idelogies are
different than the other countries,so with all this we make a unique sound or
simply, we use a special fusion between, ebm, techno , hardelectro, and any
kind of industrial genres…
How did the deal with “Out of Line” got realised?
Hocico sent to out of line a lot of demos of bands from Mexico, and they heared
our good work,and that was the reason we signed with them.
The album “From abuse to apostasy” is out for awhile. How are the responses?
The responses about our last album are so cool all over the world, and now we
are in metropolis records,so with this more people in this side of the world,more
people know about of our band
In what way do you feel Amduscia developed in between “Melodies for the Devil”
and “From abuse to Apostasy”?
Of course it’s an evolution in sounds,and structures in to the songs between the
melodies for the devil than from abuse to apostasy,the techonolgy runs very fast, then
we as a band need a change too..
What’s going on with Amduscia right now, are you writing new tracks already, when
and what can we expect from the new album?
At the moment we are working at a new ep, we don’t know exactly what kind of feeling
we could have in to this ep, but of course there will be more evolution than the last ,
but something is sure, you´ll hear an improved sound in each one of the tracks, and
may be a little bit harshness than the first ones.. so we will see, I think you will like it :-)
Your lyrics are pretty dark and anti religious, what is your feeling towards religion?
Religion for us is like crap,of course with this we don't want to annoy people who
believe in this kind of life,but people are free to think whatever they want to think or feel.
Your stage outfit is always awesome. Do you make it yourself?
Where do you get the inspiration from?
Thanks, and yes I always make my own outfit, I think my inspiration is only to show to the
people how you can live without feelings as a machine. I wish to represent the biomechanic
part of this life, how technology is pursuing us until it's catching us.. we think the conquer
of machine is not an utopian thought, it could be real and right now it is turning to that,
I mean, today nobody can work if they don’t have a machine to do their work , we are
totally depending on the technology, the machine….
