Who is Ariana Porter?
Hmm, Ariana Porter is a crazy girl. Very shy and quiet at times too, likes to have fun..Makes a few mistakes here and there, but who doesn't?
To what music did you listen as a little girl?
I was mostly into harder stuff, like metal, which is why I probably prefer Power Noize over a lot of things. It's so agressive and so much
fun to dance to.
At what point did you decide to make music yourself?
In 2005, when I was a senior in high school. I felt the time was right, I dealt with enough of getting picked on and had so many experiences
I could write about, my first song ChemiKal was about how I grew up. My family is kind of distant, but still at the same together, kind of like
a chemical bond I suppose.
In what way did the getting picked on influenced you as a person and in making music?
It influenced me to be strong, to not put up with stupid people's issues, Also a few of my songs are based off of the feelings I have for certain
people who caused a lot of havoc in my life. For instance my newest track "My Hate For You is Strong" is based off of recent events with kids
in my area.
Why is music so important for you?
I guess because it's helped me through soooooooo much. If it weren't for some of the bands I listen to now, I don't know where I would be.
You have your own project, Glytch and you are a member of C/A/T? Is this hard to combine?
I don't think it really is. Mine is more of a noize/experimental project though, but it goes a long with c/a/t I think.
What are the differences between Glytch and C/A/T?
Mine is more of an experimental project, I will collaborate with ANYONE, as long as they know that my sound is noize/experimental,
and that their little contribution is going to be warped to whatever I see fit.
Your are preparing an album, to be released on Crunch Pod. Can you give us some more info on that?
Well it pretty much just got announce what..2 days ago? so it'll probably be a mixture of old stuff from 2 years ago and whatever I make now with people.
I am actually going to be collaborating with my dad's fiancee's son of some songs, he knows how to play guitar really well and I want his help.
With whom would you love to do a collaboration for the album?
Hmm, this is tough because there are so many artists that influenced me to write as well that i would LOVE to work with, but know I couldn't either
because they aren't together anymore or there is no way i think that they would. I would LOVE to collaborate with Gridlock, they are a band i recently
discovered and fell in love with because of their sound, if they were still together I would beg and plead for them to work with me. Also I would love to
work with Rudy of :Wumpscut: because after listening to every album he has EVER put out, I can honestly say i can hear some :w: in my music.
Also I would love to work with Andy LaPeluga, he's had SO many good albums either under Combichrist, Panzer AG or Icon of Coil, I know he would
put an amazing spin on my Album. There are so many other artists as well that would make good partners in crime for me. but I think i've mentioned enough ;]

Throw a dollar in a wishing well. What did you wish for?
To be out in California already! I'm sick of Maine, but some obligations I have are keeping me here..My friends and my obligations to them are
the most important thing to me.
Why is it so bad overthere? Isn't it good for inspiration, you don't exactly write lovesongs?
I think it's so bad because the people here don't realize their full potential, they whine, bitch and moan about how bad their lives are but never do
anything about it. I on the other hand did, I was sick of thinking so lowly of myself, I broke free from the mold and evidently that pissed quite a few people off.
As for the inspiration, it definately is a good source for it, but it's not like I won't remember all the good and bad times I have had here once I move.
Not only that, I think I will have even more inspiration once I'm out in California as well.
You just finished a small tour with C/A/T. How was it? What was the funniest thing that happend?
I had SSOOO much fun, it was my first time playing live ever, and thanks to the crowd we had at Ground Zero in Minnesota I don't have stage fright anymore,
they were more than supportive and i didn't see one person sitting around, everyone was dancing and that made me feel very good about
what Ben and I were doing!
The funniest thing that happened was that this crazy guy kept following be around the venue! I guess you can say i have my first psychotic fan! It's kind of weird
I guess, I'm used to having online stalkers only..now I have a real life one!
You studied about Vlad Dracula? Why does he fascinates you?
Wow, I studied about him YEARS ago, and when I say years I mean I was 14..I was still in 8th grade..I think it was because he was so cruel..
He had some of the strangest ways to torture people, and some of the most fucked up reasonings as to why he did so.
