Every kid has dreams of what they want to become when they grow up, what were your dreams?

There were sooo many things I wanted to be when I grew up, I was always very indecisive about that! One thing I did know was that no matter what I was doing, I wanted to do something that would make a positive difference in the world, something that would have a positive effect on the lives of others. I have also always particularly loved traveling,  so I feel very fortunate to be doing what I am with my life at this moment.

What music did you listen to when you were younger?

When I was a kid, I was very into musicals, I've watched "Carousel" and "Oklahoma" more times than I can remember... I used to have a wonderful time singing the songs with my sister... We would learn all of the words, then put on a show for family and friends. Those were the days!

How did you get into the music scene?

When I was a freshman in highschool,  I noticed a group of kids at the mall dressed in goth attire, and I found myself very drawn to the look. Soon I began to dress in that style myself. I made friends with several of them, they introduced me to several bands in the dark music scene, and I just fell in love with it all.

You've replaced Trevor on the keyboards, is there a lot of added pressure when playing in a pretty big band like the Crüxshadows?

There is definitely a lot of  pressure in joining an established band such as the Crüxshadows, the expectations are very high. There were a LOT of new songs to learn to play at first! I'm very grateful to Trevor for helping me out with this as much as he has. After many hours of practice, and lots of support from fellow band members, fans, family, and friends, I feel very much at home in the band.

How do you prepare for a concert?

Before the show, I take a few minutes to say a prayer and collect my thoughts.

You are on a tour now. What do you miss the most?

There are some comforts that I have at home that I take for granted sometimes... Like sleeping in my own bed, for instance. But I truly love being on the road, every day is an adventure! So, while there may be some things that I do miss from time to time while on the road, I rarely find myself wishing that I were anywhere else.

And of course. What do you like most about touring in Europe?

I love the fact that there is so much to experience that is new to me. I love meeting people from different countries, learning words in new languages, and especially trying new food! The breads and other baked goods in Europe are amazing! And then of course there's just the outright beauty of it all.  I constantly find myself in awe of the view out of our van. Just ask anyone in our group... I think they see me holding a camera more often than not! :)

How do you prepare yourself personally for such a long tour?

I basically prepare my life at home to be put on pause. Then I make a list of everything I'll need to get by for a couple of months, and go shopping for what I might still need.

What is your fav. Stage outfit?

I don't have one in particular, but my favorite stage clothes to wear normally consist of spider web or skull and cross-bone designs, mini skirts, and boots that make me look taller... and of course, bracelets! LOTS of bracelets!

What can people do to make this world  a better place?

The way I see it is, your interactions with other people will always cause a domino effect. This can be either positive or negative, and consist of even the smallest deed. It all comes down to treating people kindly and selflessly. Even a small gesture, such as a smile or a hug, can have a much greater positive impact on a person than we may realize at the time, and in turn, they may do the same for another person, and so on and so forth.

You play many instruments? Is there any instrument left you want to learn how to play it?

I have wanted to learn to play the cello for as long as I can remember...

You like a lot of food but……….are you a good cook?

I never was able to cook much more than rice-a-roni or mac-n-cheese, but thanks to a George Forman grill, I am learning to hold my own in the kitchen, though I am still far from what I would consider a good cook!

How does the ultimate Jen-day looks like?

I love adventure, and the outdoors. It consists of a mixture of both playing and relaxing. It could be a day spent at the beach, hiking through the woods, or exploring a new city. But it always has to end with dancing!

What is the most valuable aspect of your life?

I feel very blessed to have the amazing people in it that I do.

How did you get the nickname "Pyromantic"?

It started off as my internet screen name, and it just kind of stuck :)
