Hello Yonna, thank you for doing this interview, how are you doing?
Hi Ed! I am happy to give interviews, I feel a rush of inspiration and ready to answer your questions)
You are the driving force behind the female electro band Fetish’ist, can you give a brief introduction to it?
[FETISH’IST] is.... a Visual pseudo Glamour electro group))
Before starting Fetish’ist you were active in a met band, what made you decide to change to electro and start your own band?
I think it began when I had heard electro music! I am in love with it) and by the way make such music is rather easy than metal one) . I can tell that it was the main reason of changing but it’s not true. It’s very difficult question.
The guys from metal group started to hate me deeply at that time)Cause I tried to develop our music, began to add something of me. May be they were not ready to change. Or they didn’t want to perform at all. It was mostly meetings of friend. I’ve understood that it couldn’t continue and I made decision to leave them. And led away their keyboard player (Alexandra)
Can you explain the bandname, after hearing it many people will think about whips, handcuffs and stuff but that is not what you had in mind when coming up with the bandname?
I expect it!:) No, it's much easier. Generally speaking a word, fetishism is pre-religion beliefs form, which involves the worship of material values. It's the modern world!) Someone likes his car more then beloved, for example, and diamonds, money, we are held hostage to wealth ... Maybe, named group, I hoped to cause public outcry.

What are things that inspire or influence you?
In commonplace there are people, different music, adventures. It's all truth. But real inspiration comes to me when I am sated of something whatever it could be: music, movie, people when comes a moment of finishing and you want more you want to create something new. you realize that the world is fulfilled there is still something missed. that's makes me feel to go ahead.
How would you describe your own music?
Previously, it was easier, I said that if you like EBM, dark electro or harsh, then you will enjoy FETISH'IST. But now I got letters from people which aren't listening to such kind of music, but anyway they like it. So I found a solution, saying that FETISH'IST-is a pseudo Glamour electricity. People have long thoughts, but I release myself from responsibility - not giving straight description. Taking into account that I do not limit the strict framework.
You are constantly trying to find a balance between opposite things, beauty versus ugly, melodic versus harsh? Why is it important for you to have these contradictions?
There is nothing worse than the monotony. Contrasts in the music-a kind of protest against the frame styles and perceptions of people. The fact that appearances are deceiving. And we're not the ones they say they are. Variety is freedom.
How do you create your music, do you always work the same way or does that deviate for you?
Pretty hard to tell..l sometimes, it happens, you re sitting and hollowing sound and nothing happens, and sometimes in a hurry or a lot of things to get done and suddenly the inspiration comes - the song is almost ready.

Before every you show you want to have new music so the audience has new songs to hear and dance too, why do you do this and isn’t it a
lot of work? Do you also have some songs you will always play in liveshows?
Of course, this is a big job! I literally live it. But when you see the enthusiastic audience, you know that do not live in vain. I do not want my concerts resembled each other, each performance is unique. But one thing I will leave unchanged, it is 2 demo songs, which serve as the original card FETISH'IST and sound at every concert ... they have nothing to change.
What do you do with all the new songs you create, only use for them a single show and then throw them away or save them for future things?
Live show is defenetly a test for a song, I look at people's reaction and conclude. There are many tracks wich were played only once and there are some changed and improved tracks, it will depend on the circumstances..
What can you tell about your strange presence, how important is it for you to present a certain style and do you want to make a statement with that?
I would call it pseudo-glamorous. When people see me, they did not think that I am playing harsh music. I had a funny incident at a concert in Kiev. When I appeared on the scene, the audience was indignanted, they say: what the pop artist is doing here? ... .. But when I sing, everybody were shocked... Well at least not vice versa)))
At the moment Fetish’ist is just you, what made you decide to have it as a soloproject, what are the pro’s and cons for you?
It so happened that another member of the project left me for personal reasons, it made me go to the planned activities for six months as soloproject. In addition, there are always advantages and disadvantages. Advantages that adjusts only for themselves, rely only on myself (well, in this and the minus sign), you do what you like. A minus - it's loneliness and there is nobody to rely on
, nobody to hide behind and everything is decided oneself.

You are in contact with Sleetgrout, a very talented Russian band that has helped you a lot, what did they do for you and how important are they?
They are my friends, we live in one town and I often meet them. they help me in many ways, and above all I want to emphasize moral support. FETISH'IST going through difficult times, it is very important when you have been supported by such kind of people. What did the guys for FETISH'IST ... I think they made a significant contribution to its development, primarily in the sound.
At the moment you are working on a demo, what is your plan with the demo, what do you hope it will bring you and will it also be available for “fans”
First of all, this track will be involved in work on the album, after a rather long break. He will outline a general trend, or will be radically different from what was written before it. You can never say for sure what will happen. And I will try my best to make it available for fans
What are your dreams in music, what are the things you want to achieve?
I take my dreams as something beyond, the impossible, and therefore prefer to reach the goal. Musically, I'm going to work with many styles, try to mix them well, or redone, adding something of my own.
These days the Russian scene is growing and many good bands are surfacing. What is the reason they play so little abroad of Russia?
I think the main reason is difficulties with getting visa (schengen, us etc) European band can travel all over the europe without barriers - but for russians it's problem - that's why needed serious people for organazing tours with visa/invitation support.

What will be next for Fetish’ist?
Later Fetish'ist will win the hearts of millions men, and women too;)
Any last words for the readers?
Listen to different music, no one should dictate to you someone else's opinion, and if you do not find like-minded people, find them elsewhere.
