Who is Antje? Introduce yourself for our readers.  

I’m an ordinary woman, living an ordinary life, still act like I’m aged in the mid twenties,  I live with my little dog in Frankfurt/Main, have a regular job in a Media Agency.  As a child I dreamed to be a famous singer...well... : ) In former times I used to sing in  the “heavenly voices band” named CHANDEEN. Now I act as the female singer in the  german electro formation “In Strict Confidence”. 

When and how did you discover you could really sing?  

I’m still waiting for that special moment... : ) Anyway, I loved to sing since I was a child, trained it a bit in a children’s choir after  that in school’ choir and in even in a church’s choir...

On your MySpace profile someone is asking about a new CD from Chandeen,  is it true that there’s a new CD coming?

Yes, Harald seems to be back on track, he is working with different musicians, vocalists and producers on a new Chandeen album. He asked me to join the project and of course I accepted.

How long does it take to put on your make-up for a photo shoot with In Strict Confidence?

Round about 1 hour...and again 1 hour to take it off...but I have to mention our excellent Make up Artist. Nathalie Sienko, she is doing all the Make up stuff for ISC for years.

And are the photoshoots fun or is it something you just have to do?

It’s still very special for me...but sometimes it is really hard work to pose for photos such a long time and you feel totally exhausted after a day of “keep standing still”...

How does your ideal day looks like?

No work at all....wakin up beside my honey, take a long walk with the dogs, delicious food, lots of ice cream, maybe some sports and some music....and all that at the beach!

What’s your favourite pickup line?

Do you have a cigarette for me? Then take it, put it away and explain, that I don’t smoke...

How do you prepare for a concert?

1 week before I try to work out and eat healthy because I’m always afraid, the dress could not fit anymore...I rehearse the songs in my car on my way to work...45 min before the gig I get dressed and put on the make up...tune up the bass guitar...make some little singing excercises...drink some water, tea, sometimes alcohol...thats it.

Try to recover from a bad cold...so sleeping...drinking tea...

Do you have any pets, and what are there names? And how did you come up with the names?

I got a litte dachshund, she is called “Lotta” and 4 cavias (guinea piggies) they are called Fienchen, Tienchen, Flocke and Max...no idea how I came up with the names... they just looked like they’re named now!

You are singing in different bands, does each band require a different way of singing?

I think different styles of music require different way of singing.

Being small is it a blessing or a curse?

I like it...you fit into the whole childrens department of h&m...

What are your dreams for the future?

Staying true and healthy, having fun in playing/making music, never stop to quest for happiness. Be a lovely friend, wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, ...

What do you think you are doing over 10 years?

At best I’ll put my dreams into practice.
