Could you tell us who are the members of In[Perfektion] and what's your role in the band?
The members are Walter, who does the vocals and also plays guitar and studio synths;
Charlotte plays synths and takes care of the visuals. Recently, we added Hypecrash as live
member playing synths too.

How would you describe the music of In[Perfektion]?
Since its beginning, In[Perfektion] never stuck itself into just one musical style.
We like to think that this project is a mixture of all the genres we love to listen to,
all put together into songs that really sound unique to us. All the songs have a
different mood, from the aggressiveness of Brain trauma, to melancholic landscapes
of My reality or the more danceable atmosphere of 6 sins. We think that
In[Perfektion] fits into genres like EBM, darkwave or industrial.
Before you started In[Perfektion] the both of you played in Twilight Garden,
can you tell us a bit more about this band and why did you decided to start
with In[Perfektion]?
Well, Twilight Garden was a goth-rock project. It was our first experience in the music
field and it existed between 2001 and 2004. We recorded 3 demos and made several
shows throughout our home country, Portugal. In 2004 we had no drummer, so we started
to use the computer to fulfil this lack and we enjoyed exploring more electronic sonorities
than we were doing in the past. By the end of that year, we had so many different ideas,
that we thought that it made no sense to go ahead making deep changes in the band, so
we stopped working on it and we used all that new ideas to start this new project,
In[Perfektion].
What are the influences of In[Perfektion]?
Above all, real life is our main influence. We like to explore our everyday feelings
about almost everything and some really important issues concerning the human kind.
Apart from that, we also like to use movies and books as a source of inspiration and
we listen to other bands we like and that gives us the stimulus to develop our sound.
In the short period that In[Perfektion] exist your name seemed to be spread worldwide.
Did the internet help out with that?
Yes, of course! Nowadays, the internet helps new projects to reach worldwide visibility.
We've created an official website, which has always up-to-date information on the
project, and a Myspace profile that works as an easier and quicker way for everyone to
get info on us and, on the other hand, for us to meet new people and make some songs
available for listening. There are also several online radios that have been helping us to
promote our work, broadcasting the songs and making some of them available for download.

You are busy with writing and recording new songs for a new demo.
What can we expect of that?
As we said above, we don't like to follow a straight line as long as it concerns to our music.
We've been exploring new sounds and we've had new recording tips to improve the final mix.
These new tracks will be much stronger, more danceble and more expressive than
everything we have done before. Nevertheless, we are still promoting Evilution and there's
still a lot of work to do before the new demo is finished. We're hoping that this forthcoming
work will stand for a new chapter in In[Perfektion]'s history.
So far In[Perfektion] hasn't played live but you recruited a new live member, when
will you start doing live shows and what's the role of this live member?
We've already started preparing to play live. Our first rehearsals have gone quite well and we
had some invitations to preform live. However, there's still lot of work to be done and we don't
have anything scheduled for now. The plan is to start next year, with one or two shows to see
how it goes and then we'll decide what to do next. As said above, Hypecrash joined us to
perform live keys along with Charlotte.
Any last words for the readers of this interview?
First of all, thanks to Cyber Angels for this interview and the help with the promotion of our
work. Second, we'd like to invite everyone who's reading this to take a look at our website
or Myspace profile (links are below this interview), where they can find lots of info about us
and listen to some samples of our songs.
Thanks a lot to everyone!
