Can you give a brief introduction to Lola Angst?

Lola Angst is a church organ i bought 5 years ago on ebay.. From a small church near my flat.. For 60 Euros . So i started to use the organ as
attraction for my fetish parties. Later i started to trigger synths and drum computers with it . Thats it. After some months we got a record deal. Now we are rich and fucked up.

Both members have a long history in music, what feels different this time, gives you the feeling you are in the right place on the right time?

I started Lola Angst on my own, later Reiner schirner became the producer of the band.. He never enjoyed playing  live.. I could get him so far to play 2 years gigs with Lola.. Now i play again with a band. Drummer and bass . So Reiner and me are doing the recordings together in the studio. But live i play with 2 new musicians.. and first time with drums. Our first gig in arvika Festival, Sweden was awesome..

Last year you were supposed to play in the Netherlands with Deine Lakaien, many people were looking forward to it but you had to cancel, why was that?

I broke my leg . And i need my legs for playing live, because i play the basslines with my feet . So unfortunately we had to cancel the tour.. but i'm sure we will play very often in the  Netherlands 'cause we like the people and the country ..

When I read the story of the band, it reminds me of the film "The Blues Brothers" do you feel connected to them and do you agree on the statement that you are the blues brothers of electronic music?

Yes . I always liked the blues brothers when i was a kid.. But i think we are much more evil .. cause we kill . But please dont tell this to any police
men . We love  to kill young girls.. and to eat them ..


The visual side of Lola Angst is very important, of course with Lola I would say, what can you tell us about this visual side?

Lola can spit 8 twelve meter flames out of her pipes.. And we have some ballet dancers with us. But the stages are often to small or simply not high enough for the band, the girls and the pyroshow. Fire pyrosystems are often enough  not allowed anyway . So we play like other bands.. without the  big show.. We just have fun and drink a lot.. sometimes too much .

Part of the visual side is the ballerina's, how did you get them to join Lola Angst and what do they add to the show?

I always liked classical music and dance. So i decided to combine it .. and i love young girls.. so what ? Haha i get them to join Lola Angst , cause i have sex with all of them . Like a guru . I test them before they dance..

Yes,  it will be a huge show with 12 dancers and lots of classical stuff, as well as a regular concert . It will be kind of a Las Vegas Show .

Your music is hard to define, how would you define it?

Lola Angst music. We don't care about music styles.. we love analogue synthesizers.. , folk songs, and beats .. and most important .. we have a
message to transmit...

How are Lola Angst songs created, in jam sessions or do you work separately on them?

We have different ways.. Sometimes i create a song on an acoustic guitar , sometimes Reiner makes grooves and i sing on it , and sometimes we just play live on Lola.. triggering synths,. So its really different all the time..

Soon there will be a new album, Viva La Vida, what can you already tell about it, what progress did you make in your ears?

No,  the album is called VIVA LA LOLA. A british band stole our title .. ,) i dont know if we made any progress.. we just make music and don't care about what we do . It comes deep out of our hearts and that's it.. we don't think too much about what we do . Life's too short to think about it...

Netherlands, we wanna hear you screaming in utrecht . So you should be there at 14.00 .. in tivoli ... we'll open the stage...
