Melly Thies is the female voice of Centhron and the tourmanager as well. I always try to think of everything, most of the time it works... In private I am a real party girl, I love going out dancing and having fun. Furthermore I am really keen on sports...


You are doing vocals in the harsh ebm band Centhron, why a harsh ebm band, most females are singing in more melodic bands?

Well, for good´s sake I am not “most females”. What I like is the difference between the hard beats and agressive music and then the melodic voice of a girl...

To what music did you listen as a kid?

I used to listen to most bands of the 80ies, like Depeche Mode, Softcell, later on Kraftwerk and Front 242...


Centhron has a great live show and a lot is happening on stage. If you could add one thing to the show, what would it be?

If it wouldn´t be so difficult getting a permission for pyro-shows I´d really like to add this to the show. But for the nearer future a video beamer with great pics would be great.


How do you prepare for a live show?

Before the show I like having a light meal with all Centhron members, have a beer, relax a while and look forward to party...


What are your personal dreams for the future?

Well, as all newcomers I am dreaming of being famous one day... Honestly, I would be gorgeous earning money with “work” you really like...


What is the most memorable moment in your life?

I think it is still to come but until that day it remains a secret..


With whom would you like to play, as a support act?

I think playing with Rammstein would be a great experience..


If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be?

Honestly, I am really happy with myself and my life... I do not want to be anyone else.


What is your most treasured possession?

Ähem.. I love everything in zebra style.. plus I cannot wait the waterski season to start again, I love skiing behind our boat.
