Once upon a time children cried at night ....alone and scared...
A fairy appeared...charmed by the childish tears...
She said..."A wish is just a teardrop away...
Your silent tear summoned me to you.
I´m here to satisfy your most fervent wish..."
That´s my purpose...
That´s My Lucina....
The music of MyLucina is playful but even serious , shows good and bad times,
despair and hope ,confusion and love...
Even grown persons have wishes...To shed a tear is not the end of a road...
it´s a secret wish ...waiting for satisfaction!
How did you get involved in making music?
I just started with singing, it was just for fun …So, in 2006 I went to Chicago for business.
Just to make sure – this is honestly true…
I was sitting in my bedroom at the hotel in Chicago downtown…watching a movie…
Suddenly a melody with a lyric awoke in my head…coming up straight from my soul…
“Bittersüsser Schmerz” (Bittersweet Pain) was born…
This song was the gate to MyLucina…
How did you save the melody and lyrics, what instruments could you play at that time?
Every single note is born in my brain ;-) If I want to note an idea I have a pretty software to do that…my macbook is always by my side…
Piano/Keyboard is the instrument, where I compose even other instruments like violin.
Did this felt like the puzzle pieces finally fit together, like it was always there, waiting to come out?
For me…music is a part of me…so… to fit the music with a design and and a message…well, yes… that´s the complete puzzle.
Enya was (and is) a big influence for you, how did you make a switch to gothic music or don’t you see it as a switch or a big step?
Well, music connects people…This is what the music of Enya means to me and to so many people all around the world. So, I don´t think, it´s a switch or a big step, it´s for me the music scene where I feel “in good hands”. The experiences I made with my music was just wonderful! I´m thankful and happy to get feedback of my listeners… Have a look to my myspace site – I released some of them…
What are your inspirations in making music?
My soul…if it speaks to me…I have to act …
Somestimes it´hard… but usually it´s just me…cause my soul needs to speak…
MyLucina has somekind of concept, can you explain it and why did you do is?
I already recorded the “Bittersüsser Schmerz” song and I was thinking about how can I make a complete mylucina style…I realized, I don´t want just a”style”…I want a message!
The most people think…tears are just pain and sadness…and well, it´s a fact, BUT tears can be so much much more…They can release you…comfort you…and show you, that you are alive…your soul speaks to you!$
So, mylucina got a face ;-)

You just released an ep, how are the repsonses so far?
Well…yes…the wishes conquer the world… Germany ;-) ,Austria, Switzerland, England,Sweden,USA … That shows me the people still have wishes and that´s what life needs to have…!
Everybody has wishes, what is your biggest wish?
To die in peace, old but healthy…happy…without pain…with a smile on my face… Looking back to my life while whispering my last words…”It was great!”
Well actually… no pain ;)…To explain…I had an accident.and the results are very painful ;(….so THIS is definitely my biggest wish for now…
Making music is one way of expressing your feelings and emotions but there are many. Do you use other forms as well to express yourself?
Not to express myself…but I try to promote some small foundations in Germany who gather neglected and homeless animals - respective cats – have a look to www.katzen-jammer.de ( a german website)
(This is a new home for many abused or/and homeless cats…)
Animal welfare is an important thing for you as a person, where did this come from and in what way can people be of help?
My BEST friend…is my cat Ronja…her next birthday in April 08 will be the 24th …an old and very beautiful lady…I love her so much, even I don´t have enough time to spend with her…She´s is always kind and her love is endless…This is where this comes from ;) and people can always do something to help – keep your heart and your eyes open for helpless animals!
A frog is sitting on your bed and tells you he is an enchanted prince, would you kiss him?
Of course I would! I mean – if he´s able to speak I should believe in his words…;-)
Oh…he would never ask…he´s the one in the grandma´s bed and I´m not the little red riding hood 3 gifts for Cinderella…she´s my idol ;-)
Why does the good always win in fairytales?
Well, my first fairytale I can remember was Cinderella…probably my mum knows it still by heart ;-)
I think, it´s important – I mean fairytales are written for children – to keep the wishes and dreams of children alive…and there´s no sence to destroy them!
And that´s maybe the reason why many grown persons still love them!
You are also one of “the bloody crumpets” of Emilie Autumn, can you tell us a bit more how you met each other and how the collaboration was realized ?
This is the secret of the Asylum…;-)
You’ve travelled alot, what places haven’t you seend but would you love to see?
A desert island…and Schloss Neuschwanstein (without Japanese tour groups)
When can people see MyLucina live on stages?
Well, right now I´m writing new songs for my first album… So, for the moment no live shows….sorry…I´ll let you know ;-)))
