Who is Nathalie Williams?
A French girl married to a Welsh guy who lives in Spain and is still looking for an identity. Risqué is my confident
and exhibitionist side, I’ve got others.

You play together with your husband, isn’t that strange or is it a plus?
A plus…for the creation as I feel connected to Huw’s music, and for our relationship, it makes us feel even more special.
How did you get involved in music?
I’ve always liked hanging around musicians but never imagined I could have myself a part to play in music. At first, Huw had to work hard to convince me to do something with him (although I’ve always loved his music). Everything changed
when we did “Do You Believe in Heaven?”, it got signed immediately, we got a video, few people involved, and it built
What did you want to become as a child, what profession?
Lots : vet, doctor, oenologist, shrink, yoga teacher… I thought that wanting to help people and save the world (except
the oenologie phase) was less ambitious than pretending to be an artist.
Can you give a brief introduction to Risqué?
This is Huw and me. We’re an electro/rock duo. Huw does the music/ production, I do the lyrics/singing.
We love PVC, yoga, lingerie, vinyl and Las Vegas.
What inspires you in writing lyrics?
Huw’s music, a bit of literature, poetry and movies (“tie me up tie me down” by Almodovar is one of my favorite films,
“laughable loves” was inspired by Milan Kundera…)
You are coming from France, in what way do we hear that back in the sound?
Not sure… we’re fans of Serge Gainsbourg, we also like what’s on Kitsune and Ed Banger records.
Your debut album will be released in september, what can we expect from it?
A mixture of influences. We married sensuality with kinkiness, guitars with electro sounds.
We’ve also got two great collaborations from the UK (Billie Ray Martin and Ultrafox).
What are your personal expectations from the album?
Huge… We both put a lot of ourselves in this album.
Your image is “fetish” like, do you feel connected to the fetish scene and in what way?
I love wearing plastic outfits (I used to be a doctor, I didn’t like the outfits…) and rising my shiny whip.

How did you feel when those pics were taken, wasn’t it strange?
More, please…
How does the ultimate “Nathalie day” look like?
A day with lots of serotonine, a bit of adrenaline and some expensive lingerie.
If you ask a fortuneteller one question, what would you ask?
Nothing ! My life has been full of surprises and turning points. It can be scary but I find it less ordinary.
What are your plans for the near future?
For the short term, we’re planning for a European tour, so looking forward to that... Long term wise, write a
second album, start Djing and carrying on enjoying ourselves.
Any last words for the readers?
Come on, don’t be shy!
