When, why and how did you start with modeling?
My ex-fiance told me he thought I was pretty & should try it. He had modeled professionally. He loved me, I believed him. I began modeling officially when I was 18 years old doing the traditional content: glamour, lingerie, commercial. I however went into my own quirky & highly conceptual direction 3-4 years ago. I need substance in my pursuits or to create something that's impactful, inspiring, aesthetically appealing. Generally my strive is to create a mood more than anything else & to take something less conventionally attractive or fragile & to show it in a more delicate or soothing light.
How did you get your nickname Precious little?
My nickname comes from the narrator of Cold Case Files. Generally there is an intro into an unresolved case stating that there is "precious little" to go on. Somehow I associate with that feeling & liken it to my life. It has nothing to do with my stature although I am notorious for my "play on words".
In what way has modeling changed over the years for you?
I went from doing primarily paid commercial work to executing my own concepts where I would do hair/make-up/styling/post-production or work with other artists who shared similar visions. Artists have this particular mindset, well, certain artists, money is not always the primary motivation. We always have this concern about remaining genuine in what we portray, we have to also feel a progression within it & that it is up to par or in league with our peers. I have always been very open-minded with my work, hence no qualms with pursuing fetish or nude content. My only point is that I try not to glamorize or sexualize my work because I feel that content is probably the easiest to manifest, less challenging and less of an accomplishment.
What was your favorite shooting and why?
My favorite shoots are those involving shibari rope-work, bondage and/or suspensions. It's exceedingly difficult to pose & make it look effortless, that aside that art is quite sensual.
You are missing a disturbing photo-shoot according yourself, can you define this? What would you like?
I don't generally try to create anything for shock value alone. None of my work is overly morbid, or even if it is creepy the presentation somehow makes it less offensive. I have a high pain threshold, am desensitized & don't fear much due to the life I've lived so it's difficult for me to comprehend what is disturbing that is not stomach sickeningly immoral. So I shall have to ponder this:) I do however need something less soft & more destructive, perhaps vulnerable, emotionally raw. However I'd probably have it reflect it an actual tragedy & have any blood/tears be real.
Do you prefer indoor or outdoor shoots, what are the pro’s and con’s for you as a model in both?
I enjoy both equally. Indoors is superior for a controlled environment/lighting/shooting space. The outdoors however provide a more unique backdrop that generally can't be replicated exactly, you can never anticipate the sky scapes or what other details come about that add character. I also enjoy interacting with an environment, contorting myself against it/within it, that can't always be simulated in a studio space. It can also help you escape reality more greatly when you are touching actual earth/society, you lose yourself in the moments/expressions.
Is modeling your main profession or do you have a normal daytime job?
I have never modeled full-time. I feel it's not practical and too unstable. So I've worked as a sports motorcycle mechanic intern, media journalist, veterinary technician and have done extensive non-profit work. Presently I do post-production/photo editing & photography asst. work.
You also started an industrial band called Sich, will that benefit from your modeling experiences. After all you're used to being in the spotlights?
I imagine perhaps. The way I am as a person though is I only pursue something if I feel it in my bones & it is "for life". I get lost within the act. Music is my aphrodisiac, my coffee, my nightingale, my nightcap. I am truly happy when I am immersed within it. People have seen me dance to.. aggrotech, I can't contain myself & exhibit no shyness. It's just like modeling lingerie or implied nude work in downtown of a large city in front of hundreds upon hundreds of strangers , just in the public city, not within a fashion show or anything. I'm very lady-like, modest & usually pretty covered up. What does it matter? It's your booking, duty, your obligation, your job, your passion, there is no self consciousness. If you're serious about something then prove it
What makes you happy?
My rescued cats. They are my family. Everyone within my life is adopted & I would have no world without them, they have played a great role in my survival. We need someone to give us positive re-enforcement or to help us acknowledge what a success is, that we are strong, have a good heart, soul, talent. I have not really had those things in my life because I have been alone since a young age. So I love those I have christened my father figure & my sister. Sometimes you see the world, feel your immeasurable suffering but can not see how you can enrich it & it's a chronic battle to sustain a healthy mentality when you are emotive, intelligent, reflective. Pie crust. Other-wise music is my love, dancing to it, I also enjoy helping others, the natural world, writing (poetry) reading great literature. Spending time with beloved. Going to the ocean at night, going on random unplanned trips and testing fate, oh yes & of course hugs and cuddling, unmotivated kindness:) I am humanitarian, utilitarian and vegan:)
What makes you unhappy?
Awareness of unnecessary suffering. Child abuse, non-human animal abuse, the laws in respects to proper prosecution and justice. People that can not be happy for others, social drama, narcissism, jealousy & lies. I also do not like Absinthe, sorry :) I do not care for black licorice flavor. That I am in essence allergic to chocolate:(
What is your personal fetish?
Auto erotic asphyxilia, I can't think of anything else off hand, I've gotten bored & moved on. I'm too busy for the productions most fetishes require.
What is the most insane shooting you had and why?
I can't narrow it down. I've had too many that involved nudity & were outside in unsavory weather. Either the mass grave shoot for Aaron Hawks. Winter, outside, nude, spray painted white/grey, bald caps, wearing hoisery & heels on arms & legs everyone piled on top of each other, it was fun to take the metro home for an hour looking like that:) Or maybe the nude smeared strangulation shoot outdoors here in LA. I found not dying fairly challenging then:) I've done a lot of nude, messy & generally unsafe work. The shibari suspension shoot was technically challenging and still one of my favorites.
What is your favorite “Quote”?
"L'enfer, c'est les autres"
"Hell is other people"
--Jean-Paul Sartre
I carry your heart with me
I carry your heart with me
(I carry it in my heart)
I am never without it
(anywhere I go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling)
I fear no fate
(for you are my fate,my sweet)
I want no world
(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;
which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart I carry your heart
(I carry it in my heart)
Edward Estlin Cummings
& "Make gold out of dirt." "Raise beauty from nothing." from moi & my personal mantra.
What do you still want to experience in life?
If possible I would like to fall in love & be accepted by someone's family, if they have one. I would really like to know how that feels like. I want to become financially secure enough one day so that I could do rescue work & perhaps complete school with focus on Forensic Technology. I would like to publish my writing, put together a gallery showing. Go to Australia, Germany, Japan. Otherwise everything music has to offer, to create it for a life-time, put out albums, tour, perform & be in a position to help foster other talent I believe in. I would also like to have a property where I can install suspension "O" ring for regular suspension practice at home, and also take regular pointe ballet lessons.
