Can you give a brief introduction to Suono?
electRon: Suono stands for party and provocation, we are not made by any label, we are just two boys who want to have fun :)
Suono is Italian and means the word "Sound". I have chosen this name, ‘cause I'm half Italian.
Who are the members of Suono, what is each person’s role in the band?
The member of Suono are electRon (Ron G.) and dB (Bela B.).
electRon: I create all concepts, compose the melodies, begin the first song structures and choose/design all sounds.
dB: I edit/arrange the compositions, set the song structures and program all effects.
How did you meet and what triggered you to start Suono?
electRon: I founded Suono in the middle of 2006.
I have always been interested in producing my own music, but I had no special intentions. I met dB in 2008, he was studying Audio Engineering and wanted to work together with me on my tracks.
After some funny and really productive studio-sessions, dB then joined Suono as an official member.
Did you have any projects prior to Suono?
electRon: At the same time as Suono began to evolve, I was played keyboards in a metal band "Naildead".
I quit this band a year later to focus on Suono.
How would you describe the music of Suono? What are the ingredients for Suono songs?
electRon & dB: Our sound and style are a mix of many different electronic styles, but mostly known to many as electro, industrial and techno.
The music of Suono is a blend of styles, do they represent what you are listening to yourself. What is your current top 5 of songs you like?
electRon: We wanted to combine many different styles of electronic music, but also making sure it has a sound which we could call our own.
I, myself listen to quite a lot of genres of music, from all electronic genres, classical music up to metal also rap.
dB: As you can hear my remixes are all minimal infected :)
But I also listen to all other kinds of electronic music.
You just released your debut album “My style” what can you tell us about it?
FINALLY, IT'S OVER AND OUT: D
After hours of crushing our heads together to finish the tracks for two years of work, we are proud and happy that we finished it ;)
The album is primarily focused for the darker dance floors, what makes a song a good club track?
Easy structures, catchy melodies and techno sounds, but also many fine details which make the people groove.
One of the songs that stands out is “Fick mich jetzt und fick mich hart” what is the idea behind this song.
I also think it will be a real smasher in the clubs because of the lyrics, people like to shout things like that, is that the reason why you used the samples?
electRon: The Track "Fick mich jetzt and Fick mich hart" was just as fun track intended.
In the year 2007 I and the members of my old metal band "Naildead" watched this funny film, where the samples were of.
I decided to produce an track with this sample - no one thought that this fucking track would get played two years later in many clubs all around the world :D
And that is the truth about this track.
dB: YES to all.
Suono is a provocative band, what are ethics that matter to you?
electRon & dB: To do what the little child in our heads says, without following any rules !
And to make party with the people that we have never met before! :)
What is the role of the samples in your music, why do you use them?
electRon & dB: The samples are mostly used to give the tracks a theme.
In future we will use less samples, but more vocals in our tracks,...
It seems like there is a strong scene in Germany with mind like bands like SAM, FabrikC and so, are you in contact with those bands?
When you compare yourself to them, where do you stand?
electRon & dB: We are touring at various venues with FabrikC, for example in November in Athen, Greece.
We don't try to compare ourselves with other bands in our scene, we do just what we like without following any paths.
What is an ideal show experience? An ideal venue?
electRon & dB: It is equal if there are much or less people at any concert/venue. If the band and the people can make party together then it is perfect.
If the people want to hear the additional tracks, we get very proud about it.
Are there specific songs that are most often a part of your set list? If so, can you explain the significance for this happening?
electRon & dB: Yes, our top tracks that we play are Monster, Evil girl, Battle and Fick mich jetzt und Fick mich hart.
The last is known by the most and has the function as our last fun track :) The others are our own favorites and they rock the stage every time ;)
How do you keep a live show interesting for the audience?
electRon & dB: Just use all the power we have to blast the speakers away and entertain all visitors with funny parts.
On your Myspace is a free downloadable remix album, why offering this for free? What is the idea behind it?
electRon & dB: With a free remix album "All United Styles" we can reach more people then by selling it.
It is used as a present for our fans and also as promotion tool for us also all remixers which won our remix contest.
What will be next for Suono?
electRon & dB: We now producing our second album, which will be released the beginning of 2011.
We are also planning various concerts out of Germany and hope to rock the Netherlands soon too :)
