Is Syndrome X209 a solo band or will you have more members in the future, perhaps for liveshows?
Syndrome x/209 Is just me. Live members might come and go but in the end it will still just be me.
What does the name Syndrome X209 stand for?
209 is sort of a mathematical sollution for my Name (11 x 19 = 209). And the syndrome part is because I want my music to be like a disease - Something that gets stuck in your head.
Prior to Syndrome X209 you were playing in a grindcore band, why did you decide to switch music?
Haha! Well.. It was so much work making music with other people. And playing live bass and guitars *fwoh!*... Not my cup of tea. And I've always been more into Electro. I just needed to learn how to make it.
What was the hardest thing for you in changing to a new music style?
The lay-up.. Putting more work into melodies and the way the lyrics complement the music.. But it was fun making something new!

Your music style for Syndrome X209 changed from techno/IDM to a hellectro style, was it something that just happened naturally or was it planned?
It kind of just happened. I guess it was because I was listening so much at hellektro at the moment.
How do you create your music, what hardware and software do you use?
I use propellerheads Reason and a couple of Korg synthesizers.. I just sit down, Put my hands over my ears and try to listen to the melodies in my head. Then it's just to write it down and mix it with whatever I think works.
Your main aim is to express hate and agony, how do you transform those feelings into music?
You know when you think of something bad that has happened to you? Sometimes you picture it like a movie and you hear the harsh soundtrack.. That's how it's made!
Soon you will release your debut album on Hellectro Holocaust Records, how did you get in contact with them?
I was listening to Infra black and saw they had just signed to HHR. And I just gave it a shot and sent an email. To my surprice they liked my music and wanted to sign me!

Your debut album is called Feline Daemon, can you explain the title?
Women are felines.. Catlike monsters seducing you and tossing you away when all the meat has been picked from the bone. They are Daemons. Awful, awful daemons!
How did the recording process go, did you encounter some problems while doing it? How do you look back yourself on the recording process?
I've learned so much along the way. And going back to songs I made in august and try to remaster them and give the kicks more punch and all was kind of fun. Listening to both the old and the new versions of my prides.
When you are holding the album in your hands, what feeling goes through you?
"Awesome!" And then I put it against my heart, look towards the heavens and say: "Do you like BASS?!"
These days almost every album has several remixes on it, your album hasn’t, why is this, aren’t you a big fan for remixes?
I love remixes. It's a way for another talent to hear the things you personally don't. Proyecto Crisis was actually going to attend with a mix of "Who am I?" But due to Felipe just becoming a father (God bless him) and all the remix will have to wait for my next release.

Is there a track which is really special for you, which one and why?
All tracks are special to me. But "It's all over", The outro track - It was so lovely to play a real piano on it and to mix music with other forms of sounds than a saw lead and a square bass.
These days many bands play hellectro, what makes Syndrome X209 stand out of the majority?
I try to keep it fresh. Bring in some pain instead of just suffering. And many bands lack bass... I love bass! Alien Vampires has bass! Have you got bass?! DO YOU LIKE BASS?!
You have already played a live show in Japan, are there more shows planned already?
No shows planned yet. I am hoping to play again soon though. Hopefully in holland with my Friends Audiofever and Gynoid Biocide.
What can people expect from a live show, how do you transform the music to a stage?
Hate.. and candy! (I like bringing lollipops on stage). And if you can't afford alcohol in the bar it's okay. Just stand in the front and wait for the funnel and the beers!
Any last words for our readers?
Dream it. A hardcore dream can lead to unexpected things!
