Hi Guys, thank you for doing this interview, how are you doing?

3RROR: Hi there ;-) I’m great, thanks a lot for sharing your time with us and making this interview!
Domi: Hi! Well in this moment I am just relaxing a bit after the hard work with the new album DIGITAL INFECTION!

Can you give a short introduction to T3RR0R 3RR0R?

3RROR: Well, T3RR0R 3RR0R is mainly a hard electronic band I started4 years ago. I was inspired by harsh sounds, dark ambients, trip hop music and a lot of trance and hard trance beats, so at the beginning T3's sound was kinda confusing.  Right now we're focused in a hard dance style to rave any club or venue on earth and keep the people dancing 24/7 with their hands in the air :-)

You started T3RR0R 3RR0R in 2006, how do you look back on the first years of T3RR0R 3RR0R being a solo project, do you see this phase of the band as a learning process?

3RROR: We've changed a lot. We keep learning everyday and we try to get better and better. At the beginning I kept talking to a lot of people trying to get more knowledge in the music production field.

I was in contact with a lot of bands and they really helped me to take the first steps. I can’t really say I had a defined style in the first two years of the band, but after Domi joined the band we started taking the production to a higher level and the band became a serious "job" for us.

You were a dj already, did the creation of music benefit from this because you knew what the crowds get moving? In what way did this have an influence on the music?

3RROR: In fact, the first thing that came to my mind when I wanted to start a band was " I’d like to make the music I love to dance on"
It was hard for me to find songs with the right amount of energy in the dark music scene so I decided to start creating what I wanted to hear in a club. Being a Dj helps because you already know how the music "works" in the crowds and what kind of structure you need to compose, to create certain feelings with people.

In 2008 Domino joined the band, how did you find her and what does she add to T3RR0R 3RR0R?

3RROR: We were friends for over a year in that moment, she seemed to like what I was doing with T3 and I was looking for a girl to dance and sing in the live shows of the band, so she was there in the right moment  :-)

Domino helps me with the brainstorming when I’m composing new songs. She's a really close friend of mine, so we fit perfect while creating music... We like the same styles and feelings in the songs, and we have the same vision over the music!

Domi: Yeah, I was a good friend of Dj 3RR0R and I always appreciated his work and his music. When he asked me to join the band I accepted right away! :)

We push each other to do better, we just get in the studio and work together until we are happy with the results!

Domi, What did you do in music before T3RR0R 3RR0R?

Domi: T3RR0R 3RR0R is my first attempt in the music world actually. I used to work as gogo dancer at some of DJ 3RR0R's shows but I have never been in a band before.

Domi, what is your role in band?

Domi: Beside from the work in studio, I play synths and samples live, I do dancing and performances, and I’m a vocoder singer!

Why being a vocoder singer? Why don’t you sing with your normal voice?

Vocoder vox gives that tone of robotic style I (we) love :-)

You can listen the chorus of "In My Dreams" and hear my robot voice with 3RR0R's vox over it, don’t you just love it? :-D It gives that metallic feeling that makes me shiver!

We tried to use my normal voice in a couple of songs, but it just doesn’t fit in the style we're looking for... The only song where you can hear my normal voice in the album is the main vocals in "Domination"

Internet is a blessing or curse for a young band like T3RR0R 3RR0R?

3RROR: I would never say internet is a curse for us... Even now, while we are promoting the new album, I've seen it in around 20 sites/blogs online with free download links attached.

Is that a curse? I think it actually helps the band. I don’t think we could reach the amount of people we do, without those blogs.

Downloading an album in the illegal way doesn’t  give money to the bands but it’s like having another way of promotion. If you hear the album, and you like it, you might get it at your local store, or simply go and see the band live when they come to your country... Both ways, you are paying the band back for what you didn’t pay when you downloaded the album.

I think the internet really helps the bands and the labels.

We started promoting ourselves @ vampirefreaks.com and we got featured there a couple of times... That gave us the push ahead we needed to start growing up as a band and start getting known by the people. Internet is a great blessing for us. After all, we live in the cyberspace heh ;)

How would you label the music of T3RR0R 3RR0R and what are influences for you?

3RROR: I don’t like labeling a band like T3; if you listen to the album, you'll find so many different sounds inside of it... Trance, Hardcore, Ambient, Trip Hop, Hardstyle, Industrial, and even orchestal stuff.

The only thing I can say about our sound is that we make hard and melodic rythms ;-) You can smash you head against the walls while singing to the leads of our songs... Weird, I know.

Domi: I try to gather information from everything I hear, see and read... I’m into futurism, perfectionism and that kind of literature, so yeah, that’s what mainly inspires me

The music of T3RR0R 3RR0R is a blend of diverse styles of electronic music like dark electro, ebm, industrial, hardcore. What is the secret to transform all these style in a unique sound?

3RROR:  I’m not sure yet :-)

I just close my eyes and start creating melodies... Then, they morph into aggressive or soft stuff depending on the mood I am in that moment.
I don’t start a song thinking "Hey, today I’ll make a noise track". I just sit there, smash my synthesizers and let the magic happen.
I try to never lose the rough base in the drums, so you can dance out all your madness but I also take care of the melodies over of it.
The kind of chords and sounds we use can make you jump and shiver at the same time. There's a lot of feelings involved in those tracks :-)

You found a sponsor in Neonblue, it is pretty unique to have a sponsor, how did you find them and how is this sponsoring working? Do they create custom made outfits for you?

3RROR: Actually, I was a fan of NEONBLUE before getting in contact with them. One day they added us @ myspace and said they loved the band and they wanted to work with us.

We were really happy about this and start talking to the brand owner about the projects we could do together. Right now we promote the brand wearing their designs at live shows and spreading the word about them and they help us with the promotion of our music and they give us exclusive designs to wear :-)

We love giving the image for NEONBLUE because the designs they make really fit the futuristic rave atmosphere we try to create. If you don’t know the brand yet, I’d really recommend you to have a look at their website [ www.neonblue.co.uk ]

Can you tell us a bit more about the visual side of T3RR0R 3RR0R, do you want to make a statement with this? Why is the visual part so important for you?

3RROR: When I was younger, the shows I used to go to seemed really boring to me. I used to feel I was there to "hear" but not to "see" the concert.

Now this is changing and bands are giving a higher importance to the way they look. With T3RR0R 3RR0R I always said I wanted to give a complete radical audio/visual experience live and this is why we take care of all the clothing, lighting, movements and everything we make live.
We want to really make you FEEL the show :-)

Domi: I try to give the live shows that innocence look that a rave girl has! Colors and fun everywhere mainly :-)
Life is a party and you better dance to it :-D

What does “rave” mean for you personally?

3RROR: Rave is a term I use a lot :-)

Personally, I think being in a rave, beside the radical feeling it gives you, it also makes you feel free! You seem to forget the world where you live and just dance and jump while the music last!

I say T3RR0R 3RR0R is RAVE music for RAVE people because I want the people to get that feeling when they listen to our music!

You have just released a new album on Mutant E Records, how did you get in contact with them?

3RROR: We were contacted to be part of a compilation they released a year ago called "aEQuilibrium" After the feedback people gave to the compilation and being in contact with us, the label decided to sign us.

So far we've released a single and a full length album with Mutant-E Records.

The album is called “Digital Infection” does this album title reflects what the songs are about, futuristic themes? What are the lyrics about?

3RROR:  This album is the "part 2" of the first EP we made called "Intoxicating Minds" We could say we're forming an army of infected humanoids that we intoxicated with our music to rave the world ;-)

The album is full of different styled songs, talking about the infection, the message we want to give. Lyrics are full of metaphors telling histories about the actual world.

Domi: Our lyrics are mainly about the actual problems of the world, but we use a science fiction touch to write them as if we were already in the future. It’s hard to get it if you are not reading the lyrics, but yeah, we love using metaphors about futurism and perfection.

The best possibilities in the future I think will be the way of life we'll learn.

A better point of view of our lives could change the world order.

T3RROR 3RROR CD Cover

Are there some older songs on the album or only new ones?

3RROR: Just new tracks in the tracklist :-)

We made about 25 songs, finished 15 and narrowed it down to the 12 best songs that would fit the album theme.

How did the recording process go, did everything worked out as planned? Did the album turn out they way you want it to be?

3RROR: The recording went good but we missed a lot of time during the first months of production because we didn’t know we had a label waiting for us

After signing to Mutant-E Records the progress went a lot faster.
We are happy with the results but we want to strike back soon with a new single and album early next year! So watch out humanoids ;-D

Domi: Without doubt, the last days in the studio were the hardest ones.
The final mixing and mastering of the songs... You think it’s ready, but then you listen to it again in a couple of days and you think "this is shit, let’s start again" haha

Did you get back some reviews already, how are they?

3RROR: The reviews all say this album will deviate a lot from all the albums in this genre.

You can love it or hate it, but you won’t stop dancing :-)

If you want to read the live feed of reviews we get, don’t miss our blogs @ facebook/vf/myspace!

Will you promote the album with a tour, what can people expect of a T3RR0R 3RR0R show?

3RROR: People can expect the rave of their lives! We will start gigging this summer, and we're currently booking dates around the world.

T3RROR 3RROR

Any last words for the readers?

3RROR: Thanks a lot for reading our words!

We'll wait for you at the third dimension ;-) A big cyberhug for you all humanoids!
