Hi Mark and PiKotto, thanx for doing this interview. How are you doing?
It is a pleasure to answer your questions, thank you very much for everything
Can you give a brief introduction to Vondage?
Vondage saw the light at the end of 2007 thanks to the sick minds of Mark Berserk and Pikotto . Influenced by the sounds dark and industrial, not to mention anything that sounds politically incorrect or in bad taste for this hypocritical society in which we live. A few months after this birth appears their 1st demo and began to present his eccentricities on stage. Given the wide acceptance of both their direct and apocalyptic fall of his compositions to record a 2nd demo that made them start to perform various times in Spain, acting largely on the main character gothic / industrial clubs, as well as at various festivals
In these two years of the project, Vondage has shared the stage with bands like "And one" or "Xotox" among others and set out its presence in several cd compilations, both nationally and internationally.
How did the both of you meet each other and how did this lead to the founding of Vondage?
The idea of forming the band was somewhat common, the same day that we met we spoke about the idea and a few days later we were already composing and rehearsing our first songs, everything went very fast, in two months we were recording our 1st demo and giving concerts ...

Our name has no real meaning when using the V, is more a play on words that hints at something that mix several languages, it sounds like Bondage but not intended to mean anything, it's just our name
You call your music Terror EBM, which bands are musically or stylistic an inspiration for you?
Our compositions have a wide range of nuances that makes us sound an original, first and foremost we are an ebm band that is not afraid to experience and that can be seen in the issues, we have very aggressive songs as well as other slower, so even the philosophy of the band as the lyrics ares clearly influenced by horror, our musical influences are of all kinds, just do what we feel and terror and ebm are two things that influence to a large degree our compositions. Terror EBM could be defined as a more aggressive version and sickly than traditional or old school Ebm but has nothing to do with death or black metal, of course it would not be the same for us, to our lives without our stage clothing and without our paint.
You recently added a third member to Vondage, Emmanuel who takes care of the percussion, why adding an extra member and what influence does he have on the sound?
Emmanuel is in charge of the percussion at concerts. He also does great work when it comes to mastering the subjects in the study. Percussion gives more direct aggression and speed issues. A Vondage cd does not sound like a live show, we are a really a live band.
Everyday new bands enter the EBM scene but you managed to conquer a place in it really soon, what is it that makes Vondage so special, is the aggression in your sound?
We still have a long way to go to build us a name in the international arena. We are not afraid to experiment and try to sound different than related bands. Since our beginning we tried to give a new fresh air to the dark electro scene, we like heavy and aggressive sounds but we also like to do more slow songs or use not so common influences within the EBM. Sounding similar to other bands is relatively easy, but that's not what we seek.

Vondage spendsmany hours in our own studio. Pikkoto is responsible for programming the songs that we all contribute. Our approach is too complex to explain in short as Vondage always tries to give everything of ourselves in every song.
Soon you will release your debut album “paradise and depravity” How far are the recordings, is it finished already?
The recording is long over, unfortunately we had problems in getting signed. We found ourselves without a label and had to wait to release it. Today it is difficult to get a label that is interested in releasing cds. Even more if you're a band from a place like Spain where the minority is EBM
What can people expect of this new album? Will it be all new songs? Will there be any remixes on it as well?
"Paradise of depravity" is a conceptual work full of brutal and apocalyptic sounds which focuses on different aspects. It tell s the depravity of both the human being from birth to extinction as well as so-called hypocritical deities abound our planet. We Have C-lekktor remixes, Terrorgazm ...a topic is an old track but is re-recorded with much higher quality than our old demo version. The remaining songs are brand new and we hope that the public likes them.
What do you expect yourself of this album, what should it bring Vondage?
We would like the album to reach a broad audience as possible is. We would like to publish it in different countries and to present the album live in Europe, America. We want to play everywhere we get the opportunity to play.

What can people expect of a Vondage live show
Vondage is a band born to the show, you can expect a lot happening on stage and very danceable rhythms, we feel very comfortable on stage and we enjoy watching the public who likes to have fun with our music, primarily Vondage never leaves anybody indifferent.
