The festival was fantastic...there were so many bands that we wanted to see anyway, many of who are friends of ours now, so it was great catching up with everyone again. We hit the ground running on Friday and partied all the way through! I loved how you could stumble upon a band that you didn't really know too much about and hear something new.

The gig was great, we weren't sure if anybody would have any energy left by Sunday so it was cool to see everybody dancing like crazy! It was hot as hell but we really enjoyed ourselves.

Gothminister

Well I was quite anxious since I managed to hurt my head badly in Oslo last Sunday. I was very close chosing to cancel Summer Darkness because I have a concussion as a result of the injury. Also one of my guitarplayer had a whiplash injury...But as long as Gothminister are alive, we never want to disappoint our fans! I was so dizzy at the airport so I managed to switch our seats to what I thought was the EXIT above the wings (where u can relax and have more space), but I managed to book us at the last row in the plane where u don t even can take your seat down haha! Just before the show I was very scared because I felt incredibly sick, I wanted to throw up and just lay down. But the moment I got the Gothminister clothes and make up on and enetered the stage, the adrenaline kicked in and I thought "I gonna deliver or die on stage!" haha.
The pain went away. You know u can do almost anythking if your heart s into it.

Seemed that nobody noticed our injurys and we rocked bigtime yesterday. The audience was very into it and we got a lot of great feedback after the show.

Today we re just gonna relax and watch some friends playing. I am taking it easy and staying away from alcohol so it s just gonna be like a vacation weekend for me.

Really enjoying the Summer Darkness, it s a great festival! Third time for us here actually.

Atomic Neon

Our concert in Ekko was amazing. Unfortunately our Navigation System stopped functioning on the freeway and so we were lost in Utrecht for about an hour or so. We finally arrived at Ekko and we had to set up really fast, do a quick sound check and having just a minute of time for one cigarette, we had to immediately get on the stage to play. No clothes change or getting ready. BUT we played beautifully and there was quite a turnout. We didn't expect that, being that it was so early. But yeah, a great turnout. They danced. They clapped. And they cheered. Who could ask for more?!

Overall we had a lot of fun with our concert, the people that worked at Ekko and Tivoli. Especially Ekko. They really handled us well. Thanks to the people there. The city is beautiful. We walked around alot to soak it all up and later ended up at Tivoli to see Suicide Commando play. That was an amazing concert as well. We would like to thank Summer Darkness for inviting us to play there and we do hope that we are invited again for next years festival. Would be an honor. Maybe in Tivoli?!
