ABOUT
Summer Darkness is a dark underground interdisciplinair festival, located in beautiful premises of the gothic citycentre of Utrecht. Apart from the location, Summer Darkness outshines in a mixture of music, gothic fashion, arts, market, gothic picnics, underground dancenights, boattrips etc.
A quick glance at this years line-up, plus the ones from previous years, will show Summer Darkness brings together a varied array of bands and genres todays underground has to offer. Gothrock, retro-wave, gothic-metal, avant-garde darkambient, hellectro, medieval, neo-folk, EBM, darkwave, synthpop, industrialrock, futurepop, neo-classical or noise; take your pick, its all there.

Summer Darkness sells different kind of tickets, please follow the hyperlinks to buy tickets directly online.
Be aware: Summer Darkness works with a new ticketingsystem. If you buy your ticket online, you'll get an email with barcode. This email is your ticket. Keep it safe and don't send it to other persons. When you arrive at the festival, there'll be opportunities to change your ticket in a festivalbracelet. More information will follow soon.

Summer Darkness is located in the unique premises of Utrecht city centre. Venues, squares, gothic churches, museums and old University buildings are used for concerts, underground clubnights, arts, literature, workshops, fashion and markets.

TRANSPORT
Utrecht is a friendly studentcity, located in the centre of The Netherlands. The City Centre is small and it's easy to walk between the different venues. Utrecht is only 2,5 hrs drive from Brussels,

CAR
If you come to Utrecht by car, please remember, parking in the City Centre is very expensive. It's better to park at your hotel (if possible), in car-parkings, or at the cheap P&R or 'Transferium' a car parking at the edge of the city. If you do so, you can easily take cheap public transport (tram) into town.
